the lies… the lies that come rushing in when you decide to do something right, something to better yourself… to better your world and the people in it…
you know the ones… You’re not good enough. You’re nobody. You’re not worthy. You’re not smart enough. People will hate you. People will judge you. People will see you for who you are… trash… You’re not doing this for Christ, you’re doing this for yourself. You’re going to offend someone. You’re only doing this for the money… must I go on???
That’s when I realized that my focus was all wrong. If we are focused on ourselves or fear rather than God, it is easy for the enemy to lie to us. This is why the bible tells us trust God rather than lean on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5), and “to surrender to ourselves, resist the enemy, and the enemy will flee” (James 4:7).
When I did that, I knew that this blog would be a chance for me to share the love of Christ and reflect on God’s hand of grace in our lives.
