Why did I name my blog the Last Toilet Paper Roll?
- Jesus gave these words to me
- To humble myself before the King and His people
- To magnify His righteousness
I was asking God to deliver my husband and I.
You say that all we have to do is ask and we will receive. I have been asking and asking and asking. I know you say not to have repetitive prayers Lord, but please hear me.
Nothing is happening. Nothing has changed. I don’t want to be in a pit of bondage again. I don’t want to be fearful or to stress and stress and stress. I don’t want to worry about the future. I don’t want this debt.
God, please take it from us. God, deliver us.
God, please give me faith— I feel so weak.
Lord, give me the strength to believe you and the plans you have for us.
God, give us the endurance to listen to you and to be patient. Give us a strength like Job.
Lord, I give this to you. When will you deliver us Lord?
Then, I heard him.
When the last toilet paper roll runs out.
Honestly, my first thought was fleshly.
What? When the last toilet paper roll runs out?
What kind of answer had this been?
Was He for real?
Seriously?!? When the last toilet paper roll runs out?!?
I spun my head around this.
I was embarrassed to tell people what God had told me.
I couldn’t believe that His divine answer was so simple, so bizarre.
Had I heard Him correctly? Was He really going to deliver us when the last toilet paper roll ran out? Or was this some type of symbolic metaphor?
I didn’t have a clue…
What did I know?
- God’s word is full of bizarre, imaginable stories
- God’s word is true Psalm 33:4
- God is faithful Deuteronomy 7:9
- God is merciful Hebrews 10:22
… and we had twelve rolls of toilet paper stored in our cabinet!
